Lol, I wouldn't take this as an example of the rest of my music. Most of the stuff I submit here is pretty electronic.

Yeah, I actually think that FFVII had a big influence on me musically and I think your right in mentioning that you can hear it coming through here. I'm glad it reminded you of Tifa's theme as well as that was the sort of sadness I was trying to portray.

Nah, not complete cover. really the first 30 seconds is as close to the original as this song goes, the harmonies are different as well, after 30 seconds it's just what I've always kinda of wanted to hear in that song :D! So yes, there was a lot of development which I hope is okay with the project.

though something doesnt sound like its pounding through enough, could be the kick, or the bass isn't driving enough/gritty enough.

thats because its "unmastered" tho, or unmixed down? Whichever it is that you forgot to do :P

Sounds cool tho, make more stuff like this, but really let that bass drum BANG.

That beginning scratchy bass-ish sound you have sounds SO MUCH like the Bass/Arp sound from Noisia - Stigma.
